Nox will guide you through this ancient weaving technique as you weave your own bracelet! Using wool or cotton threaded through tablets (playing cards cut down to size), we’ll create intricate designs. No loom is required as we will utilize the backstrap loom method, which leverages your body to create the tension needed to weave.  After this evening, you will be able to apply your skills to many other projects such as belts, guitar straps, shoelaces, decorative trims, and many more projects. You'll be surprised how easy it is to create a beautiful and functional tablet woven project!

PROJECT: After a short instruction and demonstration, you will create a cotton or wool bracelet (12 inches finished woven length).

You will have several patterns and colors to ensure your tablet woven bracelet reflects your personal style. Instructor support will be available throughout the class.

After this class you will be able to:

·         Read a tablet weaving pattern. 

·         Thread your tablets according to the diagram. 

·         Setup a backstrap loom. 

·         Weave a basic tablet weaving pattern. 

·         Complete basic troubleshooting.

PREREQUISITE: None! This is a beginner class. Suitable for ages 12 and up.

CANCELLATION POLICY Due to very small class sizes, we are unable to offer refunds on workshops. If for any reason you are unable to attend, you can send someone in your place. Any classes cancelled by us due to low registration or health mandates will have the option for a refund or transfer to future date.
