Monks cloth can be cut into pieces of 20“ x 72” OR 24 × 72”.

20 inch cut (half meter) can accommodate three16 × 20 framed projects, cut each piece to 20 × 24”

24 inch cut can accommodate three 20 × 20 projects, cut each piece to 24 × 24”

Monks cloth is the ideal backing fabric for rug hooking with a punch needle.  It’s 100% cotton weave has the flexibility to expand when the needle is inserted and then contract around loops when the needle is out, holding the loops in place.  The cloth is cream coloured with a white line every 2 inches which is helpful for tracing and making patterns.
